Take II

What the hell is this? No, doesn't smell like onion, and i am at a complete and total loss. The Internets needs to have image-recognition capabilities, I tell ya.
Seriously, anyone? So the deal is, we belong to a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and as such we get weekly shares of random in-season veggies from a nearby farm. very cool. Red box, picked up each thursday just a couple blocks away, crusier-bike distance. Anyway. Last week i made my first beet-salad. This week, apparently, i'll be making another, and maybe a white radish or white beet something too. But what the hell am i to do with this? Naturally I immediately thought this highly seasoned and witty group of culinarily-inclined relatives (god i am so proud) could help a sister out.

If I may suggest a wine.....

"Colores del Sol Malbec"

Colores del Sol, meaning “Colors of the Sun.” is a Malbec that captures the exciting, alluring qualities of the Malbec grape in a wine which utilized modern, high-quality winemaking. The vineyards in Mendoza are among highest in the world – therefore, closest to the sun where the sun's light is most pure. That pure light reflects from grapes and vines like a starburst, revealing all the colors of the sun. The grapes are watered with pure melted snow channeled from the Andes, using a centuries-old irrigation system inherited from the native settlers, the Huarpes Indians.

Generally around $10 a bottle - tried one last night... good stuff!!

The future’s so bright I gotta wear shades . . .

So, you're at a wedding on an unusually sunny day in Oregon. The wedding is an appropriate ending to a ten day trip through the Pacific Northwest. You have a friend snap a quick pic in front of the lake. After all, you're both dressed to the nines.

Only later when clicking through the 600 pics from your trip do you see the truth of the moment. Your husband looks so freakin' awesome in his $5 state trooper sunglasses in bought Pike's Place Market in Seattle!

Party like a Rock Star!

Answer to D-Unit's Q under Good Stuff...: "What is an audio grate?"

Ribhard reminded me we had pictures. It's called "Soundwalk", another street art project.

Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Colorado...
