and they were pretty sure abzugg and Leopold would be very damn excited and receptive to all of us suggesting baby names...(yall know how we get constantly bombarded with baby news several times a day from them?) ..anyway my first offering is :
Acacia - according to the world wide web the name Acacia comes from Spanish origins meaning Honorable. In the Bible, acacia wood was used to build the wilderness Tabernacle.. jay being a wood and tree kinda guy and both of them being outdoors people and abbzug speaking Spanish stuff...i think it would work well.

not a bad start!
Why am I reminded of Gulfport when I here that 'name' spoken?
wouldn't it be A'caseha if it was gulfport?
We have friends who just named their new baby Acacia. Her big sister's name is Aspen, I shit you not.
God willing, one day they will have a son Dogwood, or perhaps Buckeye.
FYI- The Acacia tree has big sharp thorns and possesses medicinal properties pertaining to erectile dysfunction. The burning bush is also believed to have been an Acacia tree.
Burning Bush Allen-Sibold. Has a ring to it, don't you agree?
Now that I know about the ED slant..I would like to offer Acasius for the male name.
After having endured the hyphenated last name compromise for 25 years ("no, it's not filed under R, look under A"), I'd be hesitant to hang that anchor on a kid. I'd go in the opposite direction - a single word name like Sting or Cher or Charo. My vote for this week is Shakira - if the child should resemble an African princess.
