Who's Eating Blog Food?

No thanks

Being a parent of a picky eater, I was pondering the phenomenon of knowing that you don't like something, even without having tasted it. Then again, I had to concede that I, in fact, am certain that I don't like cauliflower, even though I've never tasted it. Similarly - I'm absolutely positive that I don't like anchovies, but again, I've never tried them - so how can I know for sure?

I would however love to try one of these scorpion crumpets ...

Anyone else have similar un-confirmed confirmations?

Polvo~ I have to admit, I think I have tried anything that has been in put in front of my face (and I do mean ANYTHING :0 ) at least once. And I would probably try the scorpions too. I know I get this from Vic, which I believe he would feel the same. I keep trying fish, a few times each year, hoping I will find one type of seafood I will like. I tried beets again for the fist time in years, and find that I can tolerate them now--I will always remember sitting at the dinner table for hours, trying to finish the beets put on my plate ( I was 8yrs old)and then finally shoving them down right before bedtime and then running to bathroom to throw them up! Also, Todd and I have tried many weird foods on our visits to Japan--Todd even had raw horse!
So, go ahead and give cauliflower a chance...you might be surprised!

well i actually don't know of any food I wouldn't at least try...variety is the spice of life.......I fixed rutabagaha, brussell sprouts, and roasted beets and took them to boan and baybows for turkey dinner today...I have a cheese sauce recipe that you can put on cauliflower or broccolli and it will be the greatest taste you can imagine.....If I had that polvo attitiude I never would have enjoyed chicken livers, boiled peanuts, wings, smoked mullet, and ed's tuna!!

I'm with Polvo'd on this one. I admit to being a picky eater. I once found a little round worm on a piece of lettuce and didn't eat salad for the next two (or 2 1/2) decades. You just don't run that risk with a cookie. I have to follow the SPQ (Sweet Potato Queens) maxim on this one :"Be particular."
