Back a few weeks ago, I had an overnight in Burbank, CA and had the chance to go see the Jay Leno show....the other crew members went as well....our hotel concierge got the tickets (you stand in line at 8am at the studios and hopefully you can get a pair)that morning, picked us up at the airport, took us back to hotel, we changed clothes, they took us to the studio and dropped us off at 2:30pm. You then get to stand in line until 3:15 when they open the doors and you pass thru the metal dectors and they escort you to your seats. Jay comes out at 3:35 in jeans and tshirt, chats for a few minutes and then a "fluffer" does his routine to get you pumped up, as the case may be, and then right on the dot of 4 o'clock Jay walks out and does his monologue. Everything is done with precision. We got to see Jay interview Dennis Quaid and David Koechner and some music group I have since forgotten the name.
Anyways....Todd recorded the show that night and when I got home I watched the first few moments and saw my group., we are in the upper row, I am standing next to the guy in the white shirt, it is a quick pan...I am in black jacket and clapping....you never get to see my face, but I recognize my way of clapping.....side note...if you ever go to a show, wear warm clothes...the studio is close to 35 degrees inside...no kidding...some woman had a scarf and mittens on!
You can pause the clip at "10"(of the 14 seconds) and see for yourself......

what a coincidence!! I was at that taping too!!!! I am three rows in front of you.... dressed in a suit and tie...It's hard to make me out because it looks like I have brown hair and no beard.......you might not think you actually see me but I tell it's me by the sound of my clapping!!! Is it a small world or what????
No, I think that's me standing next to the guy in the white shirt - because I clap that way: ya know, putting two open hands together like that.
oh man, you two are brutal
